Description

Nabertherm tube furnaces are flexible laboratory and pilot-scale furnaces for the research and development (R&D) of small components, samples, powders and granules inside a work tube. The furnaces can be configured in many different ways, including stationary or rotating designs, process gas connections, vacuum operation, and comprehensive control and data acquisition for heat-treatment programmes. They are ideal for companies and educational institutions seeking a versatile furnace capable of running heat-treatment programmes at temperatures of up to 1800 °C.

The range includes compact standard furnaces, split-type models, adjustable furnaces for horizontal or vertical operation, rotary tube furnaces and high-temperature furnaces. The compact RD and R models are cost-effective solutions for many laboratory processes. The split-type RS series enables work tubes to be installed and replaced easily, while the RT series can be continuously adjusted between horizontal and vertical positions. This makes the RT models particularly suitable for experimental setups and integration into existing process equipment.

Nabertherm rotary tube furnaces are used, for example, to increase the surface area of the product so that the desired reaction can occur more quickly. The RSRB series is designed for batch operation, while the RSRC series is used for continuous processes in which the material is conveyed through an inclined, rotating work tube. The process time can be adjusted through factors such as the tube inclination, rotational speed and heated length.

For higher-temperature processes, the RHTC series is available with SiC heating elements for temperatures of up to 1600 °C, while the RHTH and RHTV series use MoSi₂ heating elements for temperatures of up to 1800 °C. The RHTH series is designed for horizontal operation and the RHTV series for vertical operation.

The tube furnaces can be configured for processes in air, under process gas or in a vacuum. Available options include batch control with temperature measurement, three-zone control for improved temperature uniformity, over-temperature protection and process-monitoring systems. The furnace design and safety equipment are always adapted to the specific gas, temperature and process requirements.
