Vibrating-conveyor

Vibrating Conveyors

JOEST vibrating conveyors are robust and efficient systems for transporting bulk materials when a steady, gentle, and controlled flow is required. The systems can be built as open or enclosed vibrating troughs and tube conveyors, often complemented by precision feeders using JOEST’s own JVM drive system technology for accurate dosing.

The vibrating conveyors move the material through controlled vibration that creates small, repeated “micro-throws” (micro-throw). The material is accelerated forward in a uniform pattern over the trough/tube with the help of unbalance motors, where rotating unbalance weights create the linear vibration that drives the feed.

Key functions

  • Even material flow and gentle handling — the vibration principle avoids traditional “dragging” mechanical solutions that incur more friction.
  • Hygiene/dust control — available in enclosed and dust-/gas-tight designs (also ATEX where required).
  • Service-friendly — modular cover solutions and quick access for cleaning/inspection.
Vibrating Screen

Vibrating Screens

JOEST offers several types of screens based on vibration technology — from compact screens for smaller flows to multi-deck machines for high capacity where conventional vibrating screens cannot handle the process. When the material is moist, sticky, or non-homogeneous, JOEST’s flip-flow technology (OSCILLA) is used, where flexible screen mats operate with very high vibration to reduce clogging and maintain good separation. Common applications are found in plastic granulates, food, chemicals, material recycling, and control screening before/after critical process steps.

Key functions

  • High separation precision — directed vibratory motion and adjustable stroke length/frequency/inclination provide fine tuning to the desired cut point.
  • Flexible machine configurations — one or several decks for separating multiple fractions in a single step.
  • Fast cleaning during product changeovers — the compact “Small Screen” concept is a mobile system with easy access for fast and thorough cleaning.
Spiral conveyor

Spiral Conveyors

The spiral conveyor is an effective solution with a small footprint for vertical transport of bulk materials. The trough forms a spiral around a central tube that vibrates and can be equipped with either cooling (also called spiral coolers) or heating of the product.

Cooling/heating is achieved through a double-jacketed wall and trough that transfer energy without direct contact between the product and the cooling/heating medium. One application example is the transport of plastic granulate with cooled walls and troughs to reach a specific outlet product temperature.

Key functions

  • Scalable for industrial flows — available in several diameter and height ranges (up to several meters of lifting height) and can be dimensioned per application.
  • Combines transport and thermal processing in one step.
  • Process-adapted options — e.g. dust-tight/gas-tight design, hygienic adaptations, and different cooling principles.
